Maryland’s unemployment benefits crisis: Emergency town hall meeting, June 10

TOWN HALL
Maryland’s Unemployment Benefit Crisis
Hosted by Peoples Power Assembly and Unemployed Workers Union

Online Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM EDT

We will highlight the testimony of unemployed workers, representatives, and their supporters!

Governor Hogan and Labor Secretary Tiffany Robinson received invitations. They must hear directly from the unemployed.
We have also included invites to Senate President Bill Ferguson, Kathy Klausmeier, co-chair General Assembly unemployment committee, and other state representatives.

The Unemployed Workers Union demands that Governor Hogan halt the early curtailment of the federal pandemic benefits. The Labor Department must immediately pay the thousands of unemployed workers who have yet to receive owed benefits.

The Town Hall is a statewide event. You must register to participate.
