Baltimore July 8: Junk Philippines terror law

Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM EDT

McKeldin Square

Branded by its own proponents as “worse than Martial Law,” the Anti-Terror Law, with its vague and overreaching definitions of “acts of terrorism,” was signed into law by President Duterte on July 3.

The Anti-Terror Law makes it legal for a Duterte-appointed committee to declare ANY organization a “terrorist organization” and detain any “suspected terrorist” for up to 24 days without placing any charges.

The law takes effect and will be imposed on July 18.

Please join us in an emergency action this WEDNESDAY, July 8, at 6:30 PM to condemn the Anti-Terror Law and build people-to-people solidarity.

There is no time to waste. The time to act is NOW!
