Support socialist reporting on Minneapolis people’s uprising

From the Harriet Tubman Center for Social Justice – L.A.

Hi all, the Harriet Tubman Center for Social Justice here. We want to make an appeal for history as it unfolds. How? By its documentation from those media sources we can trust, the ones run by progressive activists, not the corporations. Our organization relies on the news coming from StruggleLa Lucha newspaper, which is determined to cover the most important events to working and poor people around the world and demonstrations occurring around the country. And, in that vein, wants your help in sending an activist and past victim of police brutality — hospitalized after being struck by a police baton during the Michael Brown protests — to Minneapolis.

In addition to being a member of the Harriet Tubman Center, Rebecka Jackson also happens to be a journalist for StruggleLaLucha.org, and needs your financial help in covering the demonstrations there.

Rebecka Jackson, pictured on the right interviewing celebrated writer Aleshea Harris at the Tubman Center, will be driving from Los Angeles with equipment and a crew to help photograph and film the events as they unfold, highlighting the demands for justice for George Floyd and for the immediate imprisonment of the four murdering cops who killed him.

That’s right — along with its dedication to accuracy and the truth, Struggle-La Lucha is biased towards the folks fighting for social justice, the working class and for you. Won’t you help send Rebecka there?
