20th Street & Charles Street, Baltimore
May 14, is the birthday of Marlyn Barnes. The Peoples Power Assembly/Prisoners Solidarity Committee along with the Barnes family has been calling for justice in his case. Harford County Detention Center claims that Barnes committed suicide but has yet to release needed information to his family. His family has continued to demand answers. This same jail reported another so-called suicide in April. The Barnes family will be leading this caravan.
We will gather at 20th & N. Charles Street at 4 pm and caravan to the local Baltimore City jail complex to support prisoners’ demands for proper PPE and sanitation and continue our demands to “free them all”. From there we will go to the Barnes neighborhood where we will celebrate Marlyn Barnes’ life.
