Shouts of ‘Abolish ICE!’ confront California ICE director

The Long Beach, Calif., home of Thomas Giles, acting regional director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, was the site of a taco truck, a terrific mariachi band and protesters who were there to call on him to step down. Organizers from Committees of Resistance and other community organizations as well as individual activists carried signs and spoke to the media denouncing the heinous crimes against humanity being carried out by the Trump administration’s policies against immigrants and in particular the continuing deaths of children in ICE custody.
